Ashley Xu

Ashley Xu, 15, is a rising sophomore at The Winsor School in Boston. An avid writer and reader, Ashley is eager to share her passion for English and language arts. She has been practicing creative writing since middle school and is a staff writer for her school's newspaper. Besides writing, Ashley also loves swimming, playing the piano, baking chiffon cakes, and hiking with her dog Teddy.

Her qualifications include:

- National Gold Medal in the 2019 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in the personal essay category
- Grand Prize in the national Bluefire Writing Contest
- 99% overall on the Middle and Upper Level SSAT 
- Published author in Stone Soup and other literary magazines
- Staff writer for Winsor's newspaper
